Hiking season is here for us Phoenicians!

I love doing these group hike not so much for the hike.

I love watching people come together around something I genuinely care about: health, wellness, and feeling better in their bodies.

Moving the body, talking, laughing, being outside together.

Showing up and doing something other than turning on the TV or grinding out extra work hours over the weekend.

In my opinion, this is what we need more of these days.

We need human connection, not another AI or YouTube video to pass the time.

It’s wild how easy it is to forget how much connection matters until you’re doing something other than staring at a screen or logging crazy amounts of OT at work.

I choose to step away from the distractions.

I choose joy as often as I can.

And I choose to put myself around people
new faces, real connection, a sense of community whenever possible.

If you’ve been craving more community, more movement, and a little less screen time



this is your reminder that it doesn’t have to be complicated.

Sometimes it starts with wanting to be or feel different and the simple act of showing up.

Hiking season is here for us Phoenicians!

I love doing these group hike not so much for the hike.

I love watching people come together around something I genuinely care about: health, wellness, and feeling better in their bodies.

What’s one thing that should never be overlooked?

Gratitude and appreciation.

These are the practices that keep you human.

And no — I’m not saying that because it’s Thanksgiving week.

I’m saying it because I need the reminder just as much as anyone scrolling through this.

Gratitude has this sneaky way of softening the edges, bringing a little more joy, a little more love, and a little more calm to a body and mind that’s been running too “hot.”

Holiday season is here, and it’s way too easy to slip into that “foot on the gas pedal” mentality
 the rush, the pressure, the invisible stress we don’t always notice until it shows up in our body.

So maybe today’s the day to pause.

Take one breath.

Acknowledge one thing you appreciate — big or small.

It won’t fix everything, but it will shift something. And sometimes that’s exactly what we need.

Sending out a peaceful and relaxing Happy Thanksgiving to all of you.

May your plates be loaded, your stress be light, and your family drama stay lower than your resting heart rate. 🩃🙂
