In January of 2014, I started Home Peritoneal Dialysis for my acute kidney failure. Catheter was installed in my abdomen, a two foot tube was left hanging out. The RN suggested that the only way to contain my new friend, was to tape the tube to my skin. I found this to be extremely uncomfortable and would ultimately be very irritating to my skin. I asked the RN if there were any products available that would hold this tube in place. She answered "we don't use the current belts available because they pull the catheter and irritate the site". As you may know, Peritoneal Dialysis requires four exchanges per day which would mean re-taping the tube after each exchange causing skin irritation, hair loss, and the cost of tape. That's when I created "The Peri-Pouch". This belt is 100% cotton and the pouch is made of soft velour. Designed in four (4) sizes: pediatric 16-24, small 30-36, medium 36-42 and large 42-52. This belt can be customized to fit ANY size person or Catheter Feeding Tube, Urinal Catheter Bag, Abdomen Suction Drain ball Etc. Etc...
