As we walked to our gate at the airport at 4 in the morning, this display caught my eye, even through the bleary-eyed morning fog.

I guess now is a good time to announce that Tree of Life Midwifery was named Best of the Valley for the second year in a row šŸ˜šŸ˜­

I donā€™t pay too much to awards, but I care immensely about the quality of care that our clients receive. It was a really special moment to get to show my kiddos our name in this special edition of the magazine. Because that name - ā€œTree of Life Midwifery - isnā€™t just me. Itā€™s them too. Itā€™s the nights they donā€™t get tucked in by mom, itā€™s the many times someone else picks them up from school. Itā€™s the ā€œmommy has to leave nowā€ right in the middle of dinnerā€¦again.

To me, this award means that I have the BEST support that allows me to be the very best I can. My husband, my children, my family, my friends. And especially to the incredible midwifery students who provided the care alongside me this year.

There is something magical about being one of the first people to greet a new soul entering this world. We are so excited to be able to offer non-diagnostic ultrasounds to our clients!

Most of the time, our hands tell us everything we need to know. But occasionally client want a little peak at baby or ultrasound can help us see baby before our Doppler can pick up the heartbeat. This handheld ultrasound is wonderful for these types of situations!

I have had so much fun teaching student classes recently! Put me in a room with midwives who want to learn and grow and making each other better and Iā€™m just about the happiest I could be :)

Next student class is July 5th at 10am. We will be reviewing current AZ Rules & Regs and working on suggesting revisions for our 2026 5-year rule making!
