April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month. 🤍
This month—and every month—we want to acknowledge something that often goes unspoken:
many women walk into healthcare spaces carrying experiences that were never fully processed, validated, or even shared.

If that’s you, we see you.

There is no timeline for healing.
No “right” way to feel.
And no requirement to explain your story in order to receive compassionate care.

At Lotus, we are committed to trauma-informed care, which means:
✨ You are always in control
✨ Consent is ongoing—not assumed
✨ Your boundaries are respected
✨ Your comfort matters just as much as your care

Whether you’re ready to talk—or just need a space that feels safe—you are not alone.

🤍

Happy National Doctor’s Day to our very own Dr. Ketha 🤍
Being the only physician on call for Lotus is no small role—and she shows up for it every single day with strength, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to her patients.
From early mornings to late nights, she is there when it matters most—guiding, supporting, and caring for every patient who walks through our doors.
Dr. Ketha, thank you for the dedication, heart, and excellence you bring to our community. We are so lucky to have you.
Help us celebrate her today 👏✨

Your annual exam isn’t something to stress about 🤍
It’s actually one of the most important ways to stay in tune with your body.
Here’s what to expect when you come in:
✨ A conversation first — we talk through your health history, cycles, concerns, and goals
✨ A breast exam (if appropriate)
✨ A pelvic exam — only if needed, and always with your consent
✨ A Pap smear if you’re due
✨ Time to ask anything — no rushing, no brushing things off
This visit is about prevention, early detection, and making sure you feel heard and cared for.
And no… you don’t have to “prepare perfectly” or have something wrong to come in.
This is your space to check in with your body 💬
If it’s been a while, consider this your sign to book your annual 🤍

Women’s health is more than appointments.
It’s being heard. It’s being respected. It’s being taken seriously.
This International Women’s Month, we’re honoring every woman who has ever had to fight to be listened to in a healthcare setting.
At Lotus OBGYN, we’re doing things differently.
We slow down. We listen. We care.
Because you deserve a provider who doesn’t dismiss your concerns, you deserve one who advocates for you.
✨ If you’ve been putting off your visit, this is your sign.
We offer same-day appointments to make care more accessible.
📅 Schedule your appointment today through the link in our bio or call our office, we’re here for you.

03/23/2026

If you’ve ever put off an appointment because you were scared it would hurt… you’re not alone.
We hear this all the time.
And honestly? It makes sense.
But here’s what most people don’t realize:
✨ you have options
Nitrous oxide (laughing gas) can help with both pain + anxiety during visits and procedures—so you don’t have to just “push through it.”
It works quickly, wears off fast, and you can even drive yourself home after.
From pap smears to IUDs to other procedures… your comfort matters.
Just ask about it when you book 🤍

For a long time, women were told to ignore symptoms.
“That’s just part of being a woman.”
“It’s normal.”
“Nothing is wrong.”
But the truth is — many women’s health conditions go years without diagnosis because symptoms are dismissed.
This National Women’s Month, we’re changing the conversation.
At Lotus OB-GYN, your symptoms matter.
Your questions matter.
You deserve to be heard.
💬 Tell us in the comments:
What’s something about women’s health you wish people talked about more?

03/13/2026

When patients say they’re looking for an OB-GYN that actually listens…
pick us, love us, choose us. 🤍
But truly, being heard in healthcare shouldn’t feel rare.
Too many patients come into our office after feeling dismissed, rushed, or told their concerns were “normal” without anyone actually taking the time to talk through them.
At Lotus, listening is where care starts.
Your symptoms, questions, fears, and experiences matter.
You deserve a provider who takes the time to understand the full picture, not just check a box and move on.
If you’ve been searching for an OB-GYN who will listen, explain, and advocate for you, we’d love to meet you.
✨ New patients welcome.

What school didn’t teach you about women’s bodies: vaginal discharge.
A lot of women grow up thinking discharge means something is wrong… but most of the time, it’s actually your body working exactly the way it should.
Your discharge changes throughout your cycle because your hormones change. That means what’s “normal” can look different week to week.
Here’s a quick breakdown:
• Right after your period: often dry or very minimal
• Mid-cycle / around ovulation: clear, stretchy, egg-white texture (this is your body’s way of helping s***m travel)
• After ovulation: thicker, creamy, or lotion-like
• Before your period: may become slightly sticky or decrease again
These changes are completely normal and are part of a healthy cycle.
What isn’t typical is discharge that comes with:
⚠️ strong odor
⚠️ itching or burning
⚠️ green/gray color
⚠️ pelvic pain
If you ever notice changes like that, it’s worth getting checked.
Your body communicates with you all month long — and discharge is one of the ways it does that.
Saving this post can help you recognize what’s normal for your body.

Consent in healthcare isn’t just a signature on a form — it’s an ongoing conversation between you and your provider.
You deserve to understand what’s happening during your visit, why it’s recommended, and to feel comfortable asking questions along the way.
In women’s healthcare especially, exams and procedures can feel vulnerable. That’s why clear communication, respect, and patient comfort should always come first.
At Lotus OB-GYN, we believe the best care happens when patients feel heard, informed, and supported every step of the way.
Your body. Your health. Your voice matters.
