Catch Sara Wilson, CEO of Home Assist Health, today on Arizona PBS Horizon as she discusses the growing demand for home and community-based care in Arizona.

More seniors and individuals with disabilities are choosing to age at home, but the system supporting them is under strain. With rising demand, workforce shortages, and a significant funding gap, it’s more important than ever to invest in caregivers and protect access to care.

This is worth watching.

The challenges facing the caregiving workforce are the result of years of underinvestment. Families rely on caregivers every day, but the workforce is struggling to keep pace with growing demand.

If we care about the future of aging and disability services, we must invest in caregivers.

February is National Senior Independence Month. 🏡 Independence doesn’t have to mean doing everything alone. For many older adults, it means living safely at home, staying connected to their community, and receiving the right support when it’s needed.

In-home care helps seniors age in place with dignity by assisting with daily tasks, promoting wellness, and providing meaningful companionship—empowering them to remain confident and comfortable in the place they know best.

Let’s continue redefining independence as safe, supported, and connected living.
