The Nutrition Services Department is comprised of approximately 180 employees preparing meals daily.

The Nutrition Services Department is comprised of approximately 180 employees preparing breakfast, lunch and after-school snacks at 32 sites. Each school kitchen is managed by a Certified Nutrition Services Manager. This manager has completed an extensive food safety course and passed the ServSafe exam. The Nutrition Services staff believes that together we can make a healthy difference in the lives of the students in the Washington Elementary School District.

November is National Peanut Butter Lover's Month and we are celebrating all month long! Every day at lunch you can find our homemade peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Our sandwich is made fresh daily, with creamy peanut butter, sweet jelly, and delicious whole grain bread. Make sure to try one this month!
