Today CHR held a Graduation to celebrate Sheheta earning her GED ! Quite an accomplishment! CHR team members (Rebecca, Alishia and Stella) who supported Sheheta as she worked towards this goal, presented her with her High School Equivalency Diploma and also surprised her by obtaining her Peer Employment Training Certificate from RI! Sheheta completed Peer Training in 2021 - but found not having her GED was a barrier ! Congratulations Sheheta - you are on your way !

We have the most creative team —always coming up with fun ideas for Campus Connect ! Each afternoon at CHR we have large group activities designed to foster a sense of connection, promote fun in recovery, reduce barriers, offer hope and strenghten an individual’s natural supports. Today’s theme with it being Harry Potter’s Birthday(come on you knew that) Wizard Training - ! The magic of Recovery and teamwork ! Fun right ?

Today we welcome our New ACT members to CHR! - an open house for the new members and their families from 10am to 2pm . CHR launched its Behavioral Health Home in November 2024 - July 1st we will launch the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Team. CHR is the first Peer Run Organization in Arizona to have an ACT team ! We are ready and look forward to meeting you !

Congratulations to Christie MacMurray, Adult Systems of Care administrator, who was named the 14th recipient of the ReMEMBER Kate Aurelius Award. Christie exemplifies advocacy, integrity, and care for our members in every decision she makes.

“Christie is somebody who leads with passion and commitment,” said Blythe FitzHarris, Mercy Care Chief Clinical Officer.

This award recognizes a Mercy Care colleague for their outstanding contributions to our members. These colleagues consistently demonstrate commitment to excellence in all aspects of their work, embodying the spirit of Kate’s favorite question, “What have you done for the member today?”
