Kimi Sherratt-Endter is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) at Red Sands Psychiatry and Restorative Therapy & Counseling. She provides Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Systemic Interventions, Solution Focused Therapy, and Grief Therapy.

She specializes in the focus areas of women's issues, couple/family therapy, parent + child relationship issues, death & dying, chronic or catastrophic medical diagnosis, and first responder care.

What fascinates Kimi about mental health is that it is unique to every person, and there is no one-size-fits-all. If you know one person with depression or anxiety (as an example), you know one person with depression or anxiety. She recognizes that diverse life experiences got each of us to where we are today, and only by exploring different methods/models will we help each person with their unique challenges.

Kimi is relatable, trustworthy, and kindhearted. She believes there is no "cookie cutter fix" to mental health and will work with each client individually to develop goals and a care plan. Kimi tries to help her patients understand that all emotions and feelings have a time and place, and we can't simply sweep them under the rug. Her care centers on trust and rapport; she strives to build both with each of her clients but recognizes that a client will know right away if they can't develop those things with her. If they can't, she will work with them to help them find a better fit!

Outside of work, Kimi loves spending time outside and believes that we live in one of the most beautiful places in the world, Southern Utah. To her, outdoor time is even better with her family, children, grandchildren, and friends. When not exploring the desert, Kimi enjoys alone time with a book, listening to live music, going to concerts, trying new foods, and traveling.

We are so glad she is here!

A growth mindset is the belief your abilities and skills can improve through effort, practice, and learning.

Instead of viewing challenges as failures, think of them as chances to grow. This mindset can help reduce stress, boost confidence and improve self-esteem.

Setbacks aren't the end - they're part of the process! When you believe you can learn and adapt, you open the door to personal and professional growth.

Remember, progress comes from effort - not perfection.

When stress hits, your body and mind react. Breathing techniques can help you center yourself again. Deep, slow breathing tells your brain "You're safe", which lowers stress hormones, eases tension and improves focus.

Just a few minutes a day can boost your mental and physical well-being.

Take a deep breath- you got this.

Cass Waldo is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) here at Red Sands Psychiatry and Restorative Therapy & Counseling.

Cass specializes in serving patients with trauma and PTSD along with associated concerns, such as flashbacks, irritability, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, low self-esteem, relationship problems, and adjustment problems.

She is mindful, jovial, and relatable. As a therapist, her work is very client-driven and deeply collaborative. From day one, she'll work with you to establish what you want to achieve and prepare a unique care plan. As needs change session-by-session, so will the care plan. She adopts the concept of Unconditional Positive Regard (popularized by Carl Rogers) in her care and will be an unwavering positive anchor in your corner. Cass firmly believes that every person can transform themselves and their lives; her goal is to understand and support you, wherever you may be, in achieving your goals.

Ultimately, Cass strives to help as many people as possible by continuing to round out her therapeutic toolkit. She aims to continue to learn and explore different modalities. A few upcoming points of emphasis are receiving more training in Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help people better understand the sum of their parts and how to create balance, as well as studying Direct Brain Reorienting (DBR) to help clients that have a hard time accessing their emotions.

Her favorite quote is:
"And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom."
- Anaïs Nin

We are so glad she is here!

Magnesium isn't just good for your body- it's great for your minds too. It can help reduce stress and anxiety, and support better sleep.

If you are low on magnesium, you might feel more tired, tense or down. You can boost it with foods like leafy greens, nuts, seeds and whole grains - or talk to a healthcare professional about supplements.

Your mind and body are connected. Magnesium helps care for both.

Negative thoughts can feel loud and convincing- but that doesn't mean they are true.

Challenging these thoughts come with 3 steps. Notice the thought, ask yourself "is it really true", and reframe the thought. With practice, this helps build a healthier mindset and reduces the power of negative self-talk.

To challenge negative thoughts doesn't mean pretending everything is perfect, it means giving yourself the chance to see things more clearly and kindly.
