Sometimes people think being “triggered” means they’re overreacting or too emotional, but really, it’s your body remembering something it hasn’t fully felt safe to let go of yet.

A trigger doesn’t mean you’ve failed at healing. It means a part of you is asking for care.

When that happens, try to:
1. Take a slow breath.
2. Notice what emotion is showing up.
3. Ask yourself, “What might this part of me need right now?”

That shift — from judgment to curiosity, is where healing starts.
