10 years to this very day, Justin Osmond finished his 250 mile run across Utah. It wasn’t for the glory, the challenge, or the miles. It was for 25 deaf and hard-of-hearing children who needed hearing aids and hope.

Over the course of eight grueling days, he faced blistering pain,
freezing storms, physical breakdowns, and mental battles few will ever experience. But what emerged from the silence was something far greater than he expected: a deeper purpose, an unshakable “why,” and a soul-deep transformation that would ripple far beyond the finish line.
This wasn't just an ultramarathon, it was a miraculous journey through faith, family, grit and grace.

Congrats to my dear friend & legend Rick Baran, who has been with Starkey Hearing for over 50+ years. He was part of the Starkey mission from the very beginning and now after decades of steadfast dedication, he is retiring.

His ongoing commitment and passion has influenced me in so many ways. So much that I decided to follow in his footsteps and started collecting salvage hearing aids.

THANK YOU Rick for your shiny example and your friendship. We are all better for having worked alongside you. I wish you a wonderful & relaxed retirement.
