After decades of compassionate care, mentorship, and leadership, Dr. Jerry Twiggs—the founder of Dixie Pediatrics and the very first pediatrician in St. George, Utah—is retiring. Since opening his doors in 1988, he has shaped the lives of countless families and helped build the foundation of pediatric care in our region.

We’re collecting messages of thanks, favorite memories, and stories that reflect the heart, humor, and dedication Dr. Twiggs brought to our community. Whether it’s a moment of kindness, a clinical pearl, or a laugh you’ll never forget, we’d be honored if you shared it with us.

Parents, please remind your children to wear their bike helmets when riding bikes or scooters. Recently, there have been numerous accidents that have resulted in children admitted to the ICU with head trauma, due to not wearing a helmet. Please reinforce this at home, and also lead by example when riding your bike. This is such an important safety reminder. Let’s protect our children always.
