I knew for years before I opened my own practice that I wanted Lotus to be in the name. This post so beautifully describes why.

The lotus flower makes its way through murky, muddy waters, in dark and suffocating conditions, making its way past obstacles toward the light, only to blossom beautifully at the top. It is not only unfazed by the mud in its path, it is nourished by it! And much like the lotus, we trek through life's challenges and darkness, learning and growing with each experience, shaped and stretched by everything that we initially think is "in our way," when in reality, every difficulty and heartache, disappointment and hardship, are all essential to our immeasurable and unique beauty. Just keep pushing toward the light, grateful for the lessons along the way, not resentful of them, because without the mud there could be no lotus. 🙏🪷
