#7 High-Tech SGDs can be easily broken and should not be given to children. The cases for High-Tech SGDs are durable and can handle even toddlers. It is possible to fix a broken screen without too much effort and expense although screen protectors work great. Outside of water activities children with SGDs should have their device with them at all time

James is a pediatric occupational therapist who has focused and specialized in pediatric feeding therapy since 2014. He has worked in early intervention, school-based therapy, and outpatient therapy throughout the state of UT. He has received extensive education and mentorship with feeding therapy, with a focus on using the SOS Approach to Feeding therapy. He has worked with all ages and diagnoses of feeding difficulties including: Developmental difficulties (Autism, Down Syndrome, Sensory Processing, Developmental Delay, Genetic Syndromes/Disorders, etc.), Gastrointestinal difficulties (Allergies, F-PIES, EoE, food intolerances, acid reflux, etc.), and Nutritional difficulties (feeding tubes, failure to thrive, lack of weight gain, etc.). He has helped a number of children improve their eating skills and transition off of a feeding tube. He believes that the best success in feeding therapy is found when parents and therapist partner work together. He provides a lot of parent education through the process of therapy to help parents gain the skills they need to help address their child's eating.
