Dr. Andruss is a Board Certified Internal Medicine Physician who has specialized in Weight Management or Bariatrics. She has had her own practice in Bariatrics for approximately 19 years. Dr. Andruss feels that weight needs to be treated like any other disease .... aggressively. Dr. Andruss tailors her program to the individual needs of the client, realizing that everyone's needs are different. Dr. Andruss has a passion for what she does and loves to teach and educate. Being overweight is a health issue, as well as a personal and emotional issue. She may use medication therapy to assist you in your weight loss endeavors but will need to evaluate you first to determine necessity and safety. The understanding of a treatment plan and thorough education by a trained professional will significantly enhance the success rate of the individual. Michelle Macfarlane, PA-C graduated from Touro University in 2008 with her Master's Degree and has worked primarily in Women’s Health for the last 12 years. She is very passionate about helping patients become the healthiest, happiest versions of themselves. She has been married to her best friend for 16 years and they have 3 children who keep them busy and laughing. Michelle loves to run, mountain bike, and spend time with her family. Because of her interest in women's health and wellness, Michelle is excited to treat hormonal issues, PCOS, sexual dysfunction, as well as weight management!

Dr. Andruss is a Board Certified Internal Medicine Physician who has specialized in Weight Management, Hormone Therapy and Obesity Medicine. She has had her Healthy Lifestyles Wellness Clinic for approximately 24 years. Dr. Andruss feels that obesity issues need to be treated and recognized as a disease. She tailors her program to the individual needs of the client, realizing that everyone's issues and medical problems are different. Dr. Andruss has a passion for what she does and loves to teach and educate. She stresses that this is a lifestyle change and not a short term fix. Being overweight is a health issue, as well as a personal and emotional issue. Dr. Andruss helps you through many of these issues and is compassionate toward her patients, as she has dealt with obesity problems in her own personal life. She utilizes nutrition and exercise counselling. She may use medication therapy to assist you in your weight loss endeavors, but will need to evaluate you first to determine necessity and safety. She may suggest hormone therapy. She may offer a natural science based supplement that works on belly fat loss. The understanding of a multiple option treatment plan and thorough education by a trained professional will significantly enhance the success rate of the individual. Dr. Andruss is well respected by the community and has treated thousands of patients for obesity, eating disorders and hormone dysfunction. Her passion is helping others by promoting health and wellness. She lives what she teaches and believes in aging gracefully through love for life, good nutrition, physical activity and metabolic and hormonal balance.
