Students in the occupational therapy doctoral program at Utah Tech University had the privilege of working with Kayla Roberts and Renae Legere from Red Rock Center for Independence to learn more about the needs of individuals with visual impairments. Students participated in simulation experiences that focused on tools used to help individuals with visual impairments be more independent with daily occupations.

What an honor it was to have Red Rock Center for Independence (RRCI) come visit our cohort and speak about the amazing blind community we have in southern Utah! Our guests were Kester Tapaha, southern Utah DSBVI, and field instructor for the blind. Also, Kayla Robertson, youth coordinator for RRCI. Joey and David are participants in the program that spoke openly and candidly about their experiences, and we appreciate them. All of us are so impressed with their resilience, strength and determination.
