OVERTHINKING LUNCH?

Don’t! And…don’t fret! Add lunches into your conversations with your kids! Ask them ahead of time what they like and what is helpful to them.

Don’t forget to include your kids when packing their lunch! They are more likely to eat what they take to school if they helped prepare it.

I have a FREE Family lunch guide available to help give you some ideas. Just DM me “lunch” and I’ll send it over.

Are you tired of endless takeout nights?

meal prepping can be a game changer. You can transform chaotic mealtimes into stress-free moments.

Remember me propping doesn’t have to be overwhelming. Start with one thing and add to it every week.

Here are some things to keep in mind …

1. Plan your meals.: if your family has dietary restrictions and if you have time constraints in your family. Plan accordingly.

2. Efficient shopping.: stick to your list! This ultimately saves time and money. And, if you have the space buying and bulk the items that you use frequently will overtime save you money and trips to the store.

3. Designate a prep day: prepare food the same day every week! This will create a habit and the whole family can get involved.

4. Prep ingredients: if all you have time to prep is your protein, do that! Every little thing you prep is a win!

FOOD PREP 101

Having food prepared and ready to go in your fridge ultimately saves you time and money.

Does it require effort…yes
Does it really make a difference….yes

And here is why…

When you take the time after grocery shopping to clean, slice, cut and chop your fruits and vegetables then that part of making breakfast, lunch or dinner is already done.

If your family has healthy options washed and readily available in the refrigerator then they can easily grab something and go.

If you are a stay at home mom/dad or a working mom/dad having food prepped saves time when everyone is starving and looking for snacks or dinner.

Plus, taking time to food prep gives you options. If you have a plan (see my post earlier this week) then you know what is on the menu and you you can have dinner on the table in no time without making an expensive stop for fast food!

Give it a try and remember change can be hard but it is worth it!
