Rockland Recovery Behavioral Health participated in the 5th Annual National Law Enforcement Summit presented by the Police Assisted Addiction and Recovery Initiative in Boston. The two day conference united law enforcement leaders, public safety, and public health leaders to learn about programs offering pathways to addiction treatment and recovery.

Meet Dulcinea Wetherell, a Massachusetts native who is a Licensed Certified Social Worker and has over a decade of experience in the social work field. Her journey started in community-based nonprofit organizations in the Boston area, supporting the homeless population and survivors of sexual assault, and led to her experience in nonprofit management. In 2018, Dulcinea shifted her focus to primarily clinical settings, helping those struggling with substance use and mental health. Dulcinea received her BSW from Wheelock College and MSW from Boston College.

Dulcinea believes that while we may not always have control over all aspects of our lives, we can have more mindful and holistic responses to circumstances in our lives and learn to grow from the challenges presented to us. Dulcinea
seeks to establish a safe and trusting relationship with individuals to guide them in building on their strengths and collaborate with them towards meeting their goals and living the life they want and desire. She uses both psychodynamic and interpersonal
approaches to therapy while borrowing from cognitive behavioral therapy, DBT skills, Internal Family Systems, and Motivational Interviewing.

"Returning Recovery to the World-Depth Perspectives on Mental Health and Substance.” We’d like to thank everyone that joined us. We are looking forward to more of these events in the future!
