Thank you to everyone who made Give STL Day so meaningful for Emmaus.

We are incredibly grateful for the support, encouragement, generosity, and excitement shared throughout the day. From donations to shares, comments, and kind words, this community showed up in a big way for individuals with developmental disabilities.

Because of your support, Emmaus can continue creating opportunities for greater independence, connection, and belonging for the more than 200 individuals we serve every day.

Every Friday, Peter volunteers with Meals on Wheels.
He shows up. He helps others. He stays connected to his community.
He also keeps up with responsibilities at home and continues building his independence.
It is not just about what he can do for himself.
It is also about how he gives back.
With support, Peter is building a life rooted in purpose.
Give STL Day ends tonight.
There is still time to make twice the impact.

Today is Give STL Day. Every gift made today has twice the impact to support individuals building the skills that matter most, thanks to a matching grant. Give today. https://emmaushomes.org/givestl

When his neighbor needed help, Robbie called 911.
He stayed calm. He understood what was happening. He acted.
That moment matters.
But it did not happen by accident.
It was built over time — through support, guidance, and learning how to respond in real-life situations.
This is what your support makes possible.

Support more than 200 individuals as they build the skills that matter most.

Rita made the trip to see her family.
It took planning, coordination, and support to make it happen.
But when she got there, none of that mattered.
She spent the day laughing, catching up, and being with the people she loves.
During that visit, she found out she is going to be a great-grandma again.
It is a moment she is still talking about.
Moments like that stay with you.
They remind you what connection really means.
Give STL Day is tomorrow.
Today is your chance to make moments like this possible for more individuals and families.

Each week, Sharon goes to the library.
She walks in, takes her time, and chooses her own books.
Then she brings them home, reads, and comes back to do it again.
It is part of her routine now.
But it is also something she worked toward.
Choosing for yourself. Sticking with a goal. Being part of your community.
That is what independence can look like.
With support, Sharon has built something that is hers.
Give STL Day is May 7.
Right now, you can double the impact of your support and help more individuals take steps like this.
Be part of what makes moments like this possible.

For Jimmy, navigating a doorway becomes more than movement—it becomes independence on his own terms.

What once felt difficult now reflects focus, practice, and steady progress. Angled doorways and tight spaces took time to master, but Jimmy kept working at it.

With the support of DSPs, he has built the skills to use his power chair with confidence—moving through spaces that once felt limiting.

It may seem like a small moment. But it is not.

It is freedom.
It is control.
It is independence.

With the support of DSPs, each step forward builds confidence, dignity, and greater independence.

Give STL Day is May 7. Early giving is open.

Right now, your gift can go twice as far to help more individuals build moments like this.
