Just a little bit about me☀️
I’m a 30 year old mama of 2! I received my Bachelors in Behavioral Science in 2019 and went on to graduate with my Masters in Social Work earlier this year! I started my career as a court advocate helping those escaping abusive relationships get justice within the court system. This quickly turn into a passion of mine. I went on to become the supervisor over all the advocacy programs at the agency and soon after was the assistant director. Through my years working at this agency, I learned the importance of being trauma informed and the role of non profits in our society. While working there, I completed my practicum at a private practice therapy office where I was able to see clients one on one. This was a totally different perspective than I was used to in the nonprofit world but crucial for me growing as a social worker. This is where I learned of a new passion I had and that was working with mothers and a special interest in the postpartum period. As someone who struggled with postpartum depression and anxiety after both of my children, I feel I could relate on a different level. All while finishing my practicum and school, another opportunity came up for me and that was getting certified as a mediator. *If you know anything about me, I just can’t sit back and relax* As if I didn’t have enough on my plate, I went and took the 40 hour class to be able to provide clients with mediation services. I specifically decided to focus on divorce and custody matters. I knew I could make a difference in this field by bringing in my trauma informed care as well as my extensive knowledge of domestic violence that affects many of our divorces today.
This is just a little about me and how I’ve made it to where I am today. Don’t be afraid to introduce yourself. And share my page, like, or follow 😊
