✨ Poem: We Still Rise in Rhythm (Unapologetically Black)

We bend, but never break — that’s in our blood,
Built from prayers, pain, and a little neighborhood mud.
We turn struggle to rhythm, sorrow to sound,
Every line we write shakes sacred ground.

We don’t whisper our wounds — we remix the pain,
Make healing look holy, like sunshine after rain.
They tried to quiet our brilliance, dim our spark,
But we been the light — we invented the dark.

Our ink is rebellion, dipped in grace,
A masterpiece written on every Black face.
We speak in rhythm, we breathe in rhyme,
Still undefeated — generation after time.

So here’s to the poets, the preachers, the dreamers,
To the rhythm keepers and freedom schemers.
We don’t just survive — we redefine thrive,
Say it loud, say it proud — we still rise alive.

Today, we pause to honor and remember all the precious lives lost too soon — to miscarriage, stillbirth, SIDS, and other causes. 💔

To every parent, family member, and friend walking through this pain — please know: you are not alone. Your grief is valid, your love is eternal, and your strength is seen. 🌸

Too often, this kind of pain is carried in silence. But today, and every day, may you find comfort in community, in shared understanding, and in knowing there are hearts that stand with you. 🤍
