Sister Serafia and Sister Michael, Daughters of St. Francis, serve in Mercy’s Springfield communities and recently gathered for Mass and lunch with Bishop Rice. Afterward, they took their very first visit to Bass Pro Shops and the smiles say it all.

Recess could wait when Sister Angelique had a story to tell. In April 1998, she read to kiddos at the Mercy Co-Worker’s Children Center in St. Louis. She served at Mercy Hospitals in Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas and spent many years at in radiologic technology. Many co-workers still remember the joy and energy she brought to both the classroom and the hospital halls.

Get to know Dr. Johnson!

Dr Alexandra Johnson was born and raised in Ozark Missouri. She completed her bachelors and medical degree through the University of Missouri Kansas City. She then came to St. Louis for her residency at Saint Louis University. During training she met her husband, fellow OBGYN.

For the last few years they have been living in Boston where she was employed as an OBGYN and Harvard faculty at Massachusetts General Hospital while her husband completed his fellowship in urogynecology. They are now happy to be back and closer to family to continue providing obstetric and gynecological care to patients here at Mercy, Saint Louis.

When not taking care of patients she enjoys exploring local restaurants and spending quality time with her family including her 50 pound rescue dog Colby who thinks he’s a lap dog.
