A soft nylabone is a great addition to brushing your dog's teeth. Here is biscuit brushing his teeth. He's had this bone for over a year!

Chewing helps keep the back teeth brushed but most dogs will still need help keeping the canine teeth brushed.

Veterinary tip for today:

Start brushing your pet's teeth when they are young.. when the teeth look pearly white.

Once there is bad breath, there likely is tartar and dental disease. It might be too late to turn things around by brushing!

Adult teeth are all in by 6 months.

Get them used to a toothbrush or a dried cloth wrapped around your finger.

Hold their mouth closed and rub the teeth clean ( kinda like when you sleep over a friend's house and forget your toothbrush)

And yes.... I'm speaking to the cat owners too!!
