But many patients hospitalized for disease or injury need to take an in-between step first for rehabilitation (or “rehab”). Our short-term care unit provides a high level of medical care for patients recovering from surgery or acute medical problems. Intravenous therapy and respiratory care are among the services offered. This unit is for patients transferred from hospitals who are expected to return home. We would be happy to assist you with advanced planning of your post-orthopedic rehabilitation.
