Things are heating up at Ivy! 🔥With such a "hot" group of gentlemen in our community, it was only right to kick off our Ivy Men’s Club in style—and what better way than BBQ & Brews on the patio?
We had it all: perfect weather, mouthwatering food, great conversation, and even remote control cars zooming around!
Safe to say, the Ivy Men’s Club is off to a fantastic start—and this crew is just getting warmed up. Stay tuned… there’s plenty more fun ahead! 😎

What an eventful month March has been at our community! We stepped up to the plate and ushered in MLB's opening day with our all resident photo shoot & smiles were all around! We had a blast getting together at Evergreen’s Family Bingo Event-lots of fun and lucky winners! We gained wonderful insights on wellness thanks to Registered Dietician Rachel Hildrey's presentation. Took an expertly guided tour of the Species of Magic Exhibit at Angel's Gate. We welcomed a large group of beautiful students from Japan's Gunma Paz University that created special moments of joy and cultural connection and St.Patrick's Day festivities included breathtaking bagpipes, Irish Dancers and a delicious traditional corned beef dining experience from our culinary team. What a month!

We had a bell choir in our community! The Philanthropic Educational Organization- Chapter E rang and sang some great tunes for us! They were charming! Thank you Chapter E for such a fun morning!

What a joyful way to celebrate International Women’s Day! 🌸

We had so much fun welcoming a wonderful women’s group from Bread of Life Church in Torrance for a lovely afternoon together. Our high tea was filled with delicious treats, creative crafts, and inspiring conversation that brought everyone closer together.

In the spirit of this year’s theme, “Give to Gain,” we symbolically outstretched our hands—reminding ourselves that when we give kindness, encouragement, and friendship, we gain so much more in return.

Thank you to our special guests for sharing this meaningful day with us. The laughter, connection, and sisterhood made it truly unforgettable! 💕

What an incredible privilege it was to celebrate “Coach” on his 101st birthday! 🎉

At 101 years young, he continues to inspire us with his stories, his accomplishments, and that unmistakable heart of gold. From his pole vaulting days, U.S, Naval service and his 50+ years at El Camino College, Coach’s legacy reaches far beyond the field and into the hearts of so many in our community.

We loved gathering to share memories, laughter, and the remarkable moments that make him a true local legend. 💙

Happy 101st Birthday, Coach! We love you and are so honored to celebrate you!

February is FUN with back-to-back celebrations of Mardi Gras and Lunar New Year!
🎉✨
For Mardi Gras, our halls were bursting with beads, masks, and festive flair! We enjoyed delicious jambalaya and the lively sounds of New Orleans-inspired music from our friend Chuck Schumacher. Toes were tapping and we felt the rhythm. 💜💛💚

Then, as quick as a parade passes by, we transformed our dining rooms into a charming old-school Chinese restaurant to ring in the Lunar New Year! 🏮 We were serenaded by the incredibly talented Ke Qiu on his Chinese flute and traditional wind instruments — such a unique experience. We all had fun discovering our animal signs and learning all about the personality traits that make each one unique.

What a beautiful Valentine’s Day at Ivy Park Palos Verdes! ❤️

Our scrumptious brunch was filled with so many delicious choices — Apple Bacon and Brie & Fig Flatbread, savory quiches, hand-carved tri-tip with demi-glace, “Marry Me” Chicken, and the most delightful raspberry trifle to top it all off. Chef Jan and his culinary team truly outdid themselves!

The ambiance was just as sweet, with lovely music by Gaynor Trammer at the piano, strolling the room and taking special requests. Sharing the day with good friends and family made it even more meaningful.

After brunch, Girl Scout Troop 4685 charmed us with their special visit in the Garden Room, bringing smiles to everyone they met. Our wonderful Ticktockers and Patronesses hosted their Beauty Bar on Three, adding a little extra sparkle to the day.

And as if that wasn’t enough to celebrate, we honored two very special Valentine’s weekend birthdays! 🎉💕

Our Monthly Team Town Hall was one for the books! 🎉

There’s nothing better than coming together as a team to connect, laugh, and celebrate one another. It was such a fun opportunity to welcome new faces and strengthen the bonds that make our community so special.

A big shoutout to our Business Office Director, Herandy, who truly was the leader of fun and made everyone feel right at home — especially Christopher, our new Maintenance Assistant. Welcome to the team, Christopher! We’re so happy to have you!
