🌻 March Is Endometriosis Awareness Month
It’s not “just a bad period.”
Endometriosis is a chronic condition that affects millions of women and can impact daily life far beyond the menstrual cycle.
Endometriosis occurs when tissue similar to the uterine lining grows outside the uterus — often affecting the ovaries, fallopian tubes, and pelvic structures. This misplaced tissue responds to hormonal changes, which can lead to inflammation, scarring, and pain.
Key Facts About Endometriosis:
• It is classified in stages (I–IV) based on extent and severity
• It affects approximately 1 in 10 women of reproductive age
• It may contribute to infertility in some patients
• Diagnosis is often delayed, sometimes taking years after symptoms begin
Symptoms can vary. Some women experience severe pelvic pain, painful periods, or discomfort during in*******se. Others may have subtle symptoms — or none at all — until fertility challenges arise.
While endometriosis is a chronic condition, there are management options. Treatment may include medical therapy, coordinated surgical care when appropriate, and individualized fertility planning depending on each patient’s goals.
At Incinta Fertility Center, our team takes a comprehensive approach to evaluating suspected endometriosis. We work closely with patients to:
• Provide thorough fertility evaluation
• Coordinate care with surgical specialists when indicated
• Develop personalized reproductive treatment plans
No two patients experience endometriosis the same way. Individualized care and timely evaluation can make a meaningful difference.
If you’ve been told your symptoms are “normal” but something doesn’t feel right, seeking evaluation may provide clarity.
You don’t have to navigate it alone.
