Harbor Regional Center was honored to welcome and his staffer, Pamela, for a visit to our Long Beach office! Together, we discussed critical supports for individuals with developmental disabilities, stepped in the shoes of participants of day programs by riding in a safety-equipped van to visit and meet with participants of (SVS) and , two of our amazing service providers that make a lasting impact in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities.

Regional Centers throughout California are soliciting proposals for the development of Housing Access Services providers that will incorporate the OOMM roommate matching platform into their Individual Housing Transition Services. The OOMM roommate matching service was enhanced to be user friendly for individuals that are deaf or hard of hearing.

Eight Regional Centers will award $50,000 in DDS Community Resource Development Plan start-up funding for eight Housing Access Services providers to support all 21 regional centers.
