After 14 hours of having my Fit bit on today. I check to see me activities results. People ask how come you stay lean all year round and with the amount of food you eat. I now workout with a short burst of high intensity weight training ranging anywhere from 25-50 minutes 4-5 days a week and 3-4 days of 30 min cardio walk outside on recovery days. This activities my EPOC (Burning calories when my body is at rest) that cause me to burn calories up to 24 to 48 hours after my workout leaving me in calories deficit (average about 2500 calories a day). Take a look at my stats today with a 40 minutes of high intensity weight training workout and how many calories (4168 calories) I have burn and my activities level from my day. Thatโ€™s the secret with no stress on your fat loss.

What is EPOC? Excess post-exercise oxygen consumption -EPOC is the result of an elevation in oxygen consumption and metabolism (Resting Energy Expenditure), which occurs after exercise as the body recovers, repairs, and returns to its pre-exercise state. This can happen for up to 24 hours, according to some sources.

Functional training is important because when you strengthen patterns you move in and live in, that work and strength will protect you amongst your daily lifeโ€”from bending over to pick up things, getting groceries out of a car, cleaning your house, mowing the lawn, outside hobbies, etc, these are all activities that sometimes injure people. Functional training allows you to strengthen those movements and learn how to move correctly as we age and enjoy doing that you love to do. Great job ๐Ÿ’ช
