The Torrance Police Foundation is an independent, 501(c)3 nonprofit organization formed to support the work of the Torrance Police Department and ensure our city is the safest community in the region. Mark your calendars for 10/27, and buy your tickets for the 28th Annual Halloween Ball where proceeds go to the Torrance Police Foundation. The TPF was established in 2016 with a mission to champion community support for public safety by providing resources and support to the Torrance Police Department to ensure our men and women in blue can provide the highest level of public safety for the Torrance community.

I was honored to have been included to a limited access ribbon cutting for the new RTRC (Real Time Response Center) for the Torrance Police Department as the Chair of the Torrance Police Foundation along with a few of my fellow Board Members. To be able to see firsthand how our Law Enforcement will have additional eyes in the sky and better support the calls being responded to. Congrats TPD!!

We couldn’t be more excited to announce that Torrance Police Foundation will have a booth at the Safety Fair on July 27th from 1-3pm. We’ll be there with some of our TPD officers, and we will be selling Torrance Police Foundation merchandise. Please come by, say hi, and support the Torrance Police Department & . What’s a Safety Fair without a K-9 Demo, so please stay for the incredible show put on by an amazing team, Los Angeles County Police K-9 Assn Demonstration from 3-5pm, we look forward to this event and can’t wait to see you there too, mark your calendars and purchase your tickets now.

As the Chair of the Torrance Police Foundation, it gives me great pride to volunteer alongside some phenomenal people, who share the same passion and beliefs in supporting our men & women in law enforcement. Thank you to Chief Hart with the Torrance Police for the Community Update and for recognizing an amazing but very humbled man Bob Habel as volunteer of the year.

On Sunday afternoon the Palos Verdes Police Officers Association held a fundraiser to help support the family of Officer Vlad Valentekovich who is fighting stage 4 prostate cancer. Members of the Torrance Police Foundation supported the fundraising event in person and a few have made personal donations online, because no matter the city or department, when it comes to Law Enforcement, we are one family. Thank you Robert Van Lingen, Rob Van Lingen, and Bob Habel for supporting a great cause in person.
