We are pleased to officially welcome Christine Byrne as our new Development Director.

Christine brings more than two decades of nonprofit experience to the role, including 28+ years in grant management, 23 years in leadership, and 18+ years in fundraising. A longtime Rancho Palos Verdes resident, she is deeply committed to expanding access to community-based cancer support.

She has held leadership roles at South Bay Children’s Health Center, the Peninsula Education Foundation, and most recently served as Senior Director of Fund Development at Century Villages at Cabrillo.

“Christine’s depth of experience and strong ties to the local community make her an exceptional fit for the role,” said Jillian Van Leuven, CEO and Executive Director.

🦋✨ This summer, a beautiful group of young hearts come together for a special healing adventure inspired by the life cycle of a butterfly.

Through art, mindfulness, and hands-on experiences, the children explore themes of growth, resilience, and hope — each one raising their own caterpillar and watching it transform into a butterfly.
