Our Spring “Kid 2 Kid” GIRLS social & emotional skills group is off to a fantastic start! 🌸 Thanks to Aimee & Marisa for leading a wonderful Friendship Soup activity, primed with a video & visuals, based on exploring Valuing for friendships, and paired with playful cooking imagination with fun object substitutions and more! These kids are so creative and amazing! 💕🥰

Our “Kid 2 Kid” play and social skills groups always start with an Ice-Breaker! Some of our favorite welcoming activities include: Group Carpet Puzzles, Group Large Coloring & Group Sand/Bean sensory boxes! There are choices and variety to engage all our players and their interests, while helping them to naturally share the play space physically with their peers! And they can organically take small steps of sharing and commenting, towards cooperative play! 😍

This event was so much fun, and we loved speaking to the next generation of wonderful MFT Associates, and sharing about the good work we do! 💕

Play 2 Learn is super excited to announce we will be offering the "PEERS for Preschooler's" program coming soon in February 2025! PEERS for Preschoolers is an evidence-based social skills program to teach children between 4 to 6 years of age how to make and keep friends.

This program is "hot off the press" from the great research team at UCLA. It is also new to our South Bay community of families! We will be following the model successfully facilitated by the UCLA team in providing a Parenting group ONLINE for residents throughout California.

We will also have an in-person group for 4-6 year old's as well at our play therapy center in Torrance.
