This Memorial Day, we at McKitty Dermatology remember and honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their courage and sacrifice will never be forgotten.

As you spend time outdoors this weekend, don’t forget to protect your skin while you honor theirs. Here are a few quick skincare tips for a safe and glowing holiday:

1. Don’t skip the sunscreen. Use broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher—and reapply every 2 hours, especially after swimming or sweating.

2. Stay hydrated. Your skin (and body) needs water to thrive, especially in the sun.

3. Wear a wide-brimmed hat + sunglasses. They’re more than stylish—they help block harmful UV rays.

4. Seek shade during peak hours. The sun is strongest between 10am and 4pm.

Enjoy the sunshine, but protect the skin you’re in.

Wishing you a safe, meaningful, and skin-healthy Memorial Day!
— Dr. McKitty & Team

Meet Dami – Future Derm Star in the Making!

If you’ve been to our office lately, you might’ve seen this radiant face in purple scrubs — that’s Damilola Christine Ogundimu, an 18-year-old powerhouse who’s been shadowing Dr. McKitty and soaking up every moment of the derm life!

From day one, Dami impressed us with her passion for geriatric skincare and skin cancer prevention. Her curiosity, compassion, and commitment to care are NEXT LEVEL.

Now she’s heading to college (hello, Spelman + Fordham!) to study health sciences on the pre-med track — and she needs our help to get there.

Let’s rally around her dream of becoming a dermatologist! Scan the QR code in the post to show some love.

Because when we lift up future healers like Dami, we invest in a brighter, more inclusive future for medicine. Let’s go!
