🌿 What Parents Should Know About Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) 🌿

Have you ever heard of Low Dose Naltrexone and wondered why so many practitioners are talking about it lately?

Let’s break it down in a simple, parent-friendly way 👇

✨ What is LDN?
LDN is a very small dose of a medication originally used for other purposes, but when used at low levels, it works in a completely different way—supporting the body’s immune system and calming inflammation.

🧠 How does it work?
LDN gently “nudges” the body to:
• Boost natural endorphin production (your body’s feel-good chemicals)
• Help regulate the immune system (instead of overstimulating it)
• Reduce inflammation in the brain and body

Think of it as helping the body rebalance instead of forcing it to react.

💡 What is it commonly used for in kids?
Many families explore LDN as part of a root-cause approach for:
• Autoimmune conditions (like PANS/PANDAS)
• Chronic inflammation
• Mood and behavioral challenges
• Sensory processing struggles
• Gut health and immune dysregulation

🌱 Why parents are interested:
LDN is often considered because it:
• Works with the body, not against it
• Is typically well-tolerated
• Can support multiple systems at once (brain, immune, gut)

⚠️ Important things to know:
• Dosing is very individualized—this is not one-size-fits-all
• It often takes time to see full benefits (weeks to months)
• It should always be used under guidance from a knowledgeable provider
• Temporary sleep changes or vivid dreams can happen at the start

💚 Our Natural Kids Perspective:
LDN isn’t a “quick fix”—it’s a tool that can support healing when we’re addressing the root causes like inflammation, infections, and nervous system imbalance.

Every child is unique, and what works for one may not be right for another—that’s why personalized care matters.

👇 We’d love to hear from you:
Have you explored LDN for your child, or are you just learning about it?

When it comes to children’s mental health, we believe there’s always a deeper story. 💚

At Natural Kids, we don’t just look at behaviors—we look at the whole child. Anxiety, mood swings, focus challenges, and emotional struggles are often signals from the body, not just conditions to label or suppress.

Our root-cause approach focuses on identifying why your child is struggling. This can include things like:
• Nutrient deficiencies
• Gut health imbalances
• Inflammation
• Toxin exposure
• Nervous system dysregulation

By addressing these underlying factors, we help support the brain and body together—creating real, lasting change.

Our goal is simple: to help kids feel calm, confident, focused, and truly themselves again.

If you’ve felt like there has to be another way… you’re not alone—and we’re here to help. 🌿

My little one is having surgery today, and this week I’ll be right by his side. I care for so many of your children but when it’s your own child, the emotions just hit differently. The weight of it, the worry, the unknowns… it gives me an even deeper understanding of what so many of you walk through.

If there’s one thing I know deeply, our children need us present. Fully present. And that’s exactly where I’m being called to be right now.

Because of this, I won’t be able to complete in-home visits this week. I will be opening a limited number of telehealth visits for families who need support during this time.

Natural Kids has always been built on caring for families like they are our own, and this week, I’m holding even deeper empathy for each of you walking through hard moments with your children.

Thank you for your grace, your patience, and your prayers. It truly means more than I can put into words 🤍

If you need anything, please reach out and we’ll take care of you.

🌈 Simple Saturday (Kid Edition!) 🌈

Today is all about the kids—because childhood should be full of play, creativity, and a little bit of mess 💛

Instead of packing the day full, try creating space for open-ended play:

✨ Let them build forts with blankets + pillows
🎨 Break out crayons, paint, or crafts
🌿 Send them outside to explore, dig, and imagine
🧸 Encourage independent play (without constant structure)

Boredom isn’t a bad thing—it’s where creativity begins 🙌

When kids have the freedom to play, they build confidence, problem-solving skills, and imagination—all on their own.

💬 “Play is the highest form of learning.”

🤍 Thankful Thursday 🤍

Today is a gentle reminder to slow down and notice the good—because gratitude shifts everything. ✨

In the middle of busy schedules, meals to cook, and places to be, there is so much to be thankful for:
💛 Healthy (or healing) bodies
💛 Growing, learning kiddos
💛 Simple moments—belly laughs, hugs, and bedtime snuggles
💛 The opportunity to choose a more natural, intentional way of living

Gratitude doesn’t have to be big—it lives in the small, everyday moments.

Try this with your family tonight:
🌿 Go around the table and have everyone share one thing they’re thankful for

It’s a simple practice that builds connection, positivity, and mindful hearts. 💫

💬 “Gratitude turns what we have into enough.”

What’s one thing you’re thankful for today? 👇

💧 Wellness Wednesday 💧

Let’s keep it simple this week and focus on one powerful habit: hydration 💙

Proper hydration plays a huge role in your child’s overall wellness—from energy and focus to digestion and immune support.

Here are a few easy ways to keep your family hydrated:

✨ Start the day with a glass of water before anything else
🍓 Add fruit like berries, lemon, or orange slices to make water more fun
🥤 Keep water bottles within reach throughout the day
⏰ Offer water regularly—kids often forget to ask!
🌞 Increase fluids on busy, active, or hot days

A simple rule of thumb: aim for about half your child’s body weight in ounces of water daily (adjust based on activity level).

Small habit, BIG impact. 💧

💬 “When you take care of your body’s basic needs, everything else works better.”
