After his stroke, Rick struggled to communicate and care for himself. But through physical, occupational, and speech therapies, he improved his cognition and communication and regained his functional mobility. 🌟

🎄 Heritage residents participated in our annual Trim the Tree event in therapy today! They made the ornaments that will decorate the tree in the rehab gym... while working on those fine motor skills. 😉 Everyone had fun sharing memories of decorating for Christmas and other holiday traditions.

In light of the holiday season, we hosted a "Gratitude Challenge." 🧡 This challenge included 30 things to do, like compliment a co-worker, donate a coat to the local homeless shelter, and invite a neighbor for dinner. 🍽️ Our winners who completed all 30 items were Receptionist Susan Jackson Speech Therapist Nina Kerper, and Assistant Director of Nursing Joanne Wolf! 😁
