Covid-19 has impacted all of our lives in one way or another. We wanted to update the community on some of the new measures put in place by the Florida Department of Health regarding cannabis physicians and recommendation renewals for patients.
The OMMU has extended Tele-Health guidelines through June 30th. This means current patients can opt out of a physical office visit until that date. Stay tuned to the OMMU though, they usually wait until the last minute to further extend this procedure.
We have had to pivot our practice model to ensure the health and safety of patients/staff pretty dramatically. If you are looking for ways to adjust your practice to fit the “new normal” we find ourselves working in, here is an example of some changes we made:
All staff must wear PPE Mask + Gloves + Eye Protection/Sneeze Guard
Each patient is scheduled with double time for their appointment to ensure no overlapping.
Each patient is urged to bring their own PPE (Mask etc..)
Only one patient is allowed in each area of the office at a time, no intersections.
Sanitizer is available in every room.
Contact points are sanitized between every appointment
Advanced electrostatic cleaning is done at the end of each day
We hope this information helps guide your office in the right direction. If you are a clinician looking for training or practice consulting you can call our office for more information.
