Roll back the limits. Access to medical cannabis extracts and preparations was cut to less than a THIRD effective 8/29/22. FLCAN has a plan.

New Updates: COVID-19 Prescribers

Covid-19 has impacted all of our lives in one way or another. We wanted to update the community on some of the new measures put in place by the Florida Department of Health regarding cannabis physicians and recommendation renewals for patients.


  • Cannabis physicians may use a HIPPA certified video portal to conduct a tele-health consultation for RENEWALS ONLY. No new patients may be taken through the intake process and medical ma*****na registration (OMMU) via video/phone consult.

  • Renewal paperwork may be faxed into the office, or a HIPPA compliant form can be built into the providers website.

  • Physicians should check the OMMU registry daily for updates and changes.
