๐ŸŒบThis is not every single thing I eat, merely some options. I'll do an indepth video next week to show what I actually eat.

๐ŸŒบ You don't need to know my macros. Why? Because they're specific to my goals and I don't want anyone to take it perscriptive and run with it. That's not the point of talking about my personal nutrition.

Guys... I posted a pancake bowl in my stories a few weeks ago and y'all lost your midns for the recipe! Here's a fun and refreshing recipe for pre or post-workout, or when you just want a delicious breakfast!

A few things to note:
๐ŸŒบ Your needs may differ depending on your nutrition goals, which is why I sugggested 1-2 servings of pancake mix.
๐ŸŒบ Adjust the water accordingly. No one like dry pancakes!
๐ŸŒบ This recipe also works with raspberries ๐Ÿคค
๐ŸŒบYou can add protein powder if you need to, but it might be a bit dry. If you do that, add in some Greek yogurt, mashed banana, or applesauce to counter the dryness from the protein powder.
๐ŸŒบ If you need some fats, you can top it with peanut butter, Kerry Gold butter, or choppd walnuts.

Before you think about trying a new "diet", check in with your sleep habits!

๐ŸŒ™ When it comes to your nutrition and fitness journey, the adage "sleep when you're dead," is counter productive. In fact, it's counterproductive to most things, but I digress. Aim to get 7-9 hours of quality, uninterrupted sleep, every night.

For my clients with littles, I know this can be challenging. Do the best that you can and aim to find 10-15 minutes of rest throughout your day to meditate, take a few deep breaths, or just close your eyes.

TLDR: as long as you are priotizing whole, natural, and nutrient dense sources of protein with adequate intake, you'll get the most bang for your buck.

๐ŸŒบ keep things like deli meat, sausages, protein bars (with 40%+ of their calories from protein) on hand for emergencies or for the days where you just can't even.

๐ŸŒบ aim for .8-1g/lb of bodyweight to maintain lean muscle mass

๐ŸŒบ remembr that supplements are just that: supplements. They are meant to help you but you should have a solid nutritional foundation before adding in the supplemtn that gym bro told you about.

๐ŸŒบBig keys for surf nutrtion are hydration and carbs for quick energy. I recommend having a balanced meal or snack baout 30-60 minutes before you surf. Definitely opt for a snack the closer you get to paddling out.

๐ŸŒบDawn patrol? Try an ice coconut water americano! Add 4 ounces of cold brew with ice to 6-8 ounces of plain coconut water for a little caffeine boost with a tropical twist ๐Ÿฅฅโ˜•๏ธ

Do you ever paddle out and feel like you just... well, never surfed before? ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ It could be that the waves are different than your usual conditions. That doesn't mean you're a bad surfer, it just means that this is a chance to improve your wave reading and how you surf!

By learning to identify the type of wave you're surfing, you can adjust how you surf the waves that day. The more you know before you paddle out, the better equipped you are for having a productive surf session ๐Ÿค™๐Ÿผ

Is it ACTUALLY a good source of protein or is it just marketing? Save this quick cheat sheet for your next trip to the store ๐Ÿ’พ

๐ŸŒบThere's a protein version of everything nowadays: Cheerios, popcorn, Pop Tarts, brownies, cookies, pasta... this list goes on!. However, just because a label CLAIMS to be a good source of protein doesn't mean that it IS.

๐ŸŒบUnfortunately, nutriiton label rules are very loosely regulated. You can put "protein" on a label without having to account for what percent of your food is protein, making the consumer think it's a healthy option. The same goes for " made with fruits and veggies", but one thing at a time.

๐ŸŒบ If you're sticking to mostly whole, natural sources of protein like lean meats, fish, tempeh or tofu, and Greek yogurt, you're probably doing just fine.
