Challenging yourself is a form of self love. and y'all have been CRUSHING the Surf-Ready Series! ๐Ÿ”ฅ This workout has really helped with my surfing. I feel stronger when I'm paddling out, and I'm recovering quickly so I can turn and catch the waves.

Last week, you added a couple of reps, now we're going to add on anotehr set AND try to keep the reps up while increasing the weight you use.

Chances are that you might need a macro adjustment. If you've been eating the exact same macros for months on end and not seeing results, you may need a few tweaks.

What I mostly see with my clients is that they've been eating in a deficit for so long that their metabolism has downregulated. So now we need to bring their body back up to speed by slowly and systematically increasing their calories.

What we see is an increase in energy, increased performance in the gym and the surf, and improved sleep.

If your nutrition program is one-size fits all, that's a ๐Ÿšฉ

๐Ÿ‹๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธLet's say you and your friend take on some nutrition challenge because you want to "drop some weight,"awesome, I'm happy you want to be healthier! You both eat the exact same amount, do the same workouts with the same weights, and at the end of the challenge, she lost 10 lbs but you lost 3... What gives?!

๐Ÿฅ‘Nutrition isn't a cookie cutter science. Your friend's body may have responded well based on a variety of factors such as genetics but your body may not have done well with what the programming was offering. For example, if it was a lower-carb challenge, your body may need more carbs than hers did. That's ok! That's why taking an individualized approach to nutrition is SO important!

If you've ever been told you need to do a cleanse or "slim down" before vacation, this post is for you.
Before, I used to severley alter my nutrition and exercise before I went on vacation. I'm talking massive cut, tons of cardio, lifting weights, but still not feeling my best.

Fast forward to today and I'm just ready for vacation any time. Why? Because I keep my nutrition sustainable and in line with my goals! I'll eat a piece of pizza the night before vacation if I want it, or a big a$$ salad if that's what I'm feeling and fits into my macros.

You don't have to keep doing crazy things to achieve the results you want. You just need to focus on eating enough for your body and goals, take a flexible appraoch to nutrition, and remember that diet culture doesn't get to dictate how you show up in your body.
