🚨 Do Your Research Beyond the Highlight Reel 🚨

When choosing a surgeon, don’t rely solely on curated reviews and polished social media pages. Many platforms allow comments and reviews to be filtered or deleted—meaning you may not be seeing the full picture.

💡 One of the BEST things you can do:
Join patient groups and forums on platforms like Facebook and Reddit where REAL people share their unfiltered experiences.

Why this matters:
• You’ll hear honest feedback—good AND bad
• Patients often share real complications, not just perfect results
• You can learn about things surgeons may not openly discuss

⚠️ Topics people often speak on in these groups:
• Wound healing issues
• Infections
• Poor aftercare or neglect
• Malpractice concerns
• Unexpected complications
• Even worst-case outcomes

This isn’t to scare you—it’s to INFORM you. Every surgery carries risk, and transparency is key when making such an important decision.

✨ The goal is not to find a “perfect” surgeon (they don’t exist), but to find one who is CONSISTENT, ETHICAL, and HONEST—especially when things don’t go as planned.

Do your homework. Ask questions. Protect yourself. 💬

💉 Why do lips swell after filler? Let’s talk about it…
Swelling after lip filler is completely normal and part of the process 👇

Your body sees the injections as minor trauma and responds with inflammation (aka swelling). On top of that, hyaluronic acid fillers pull in water to give you that plump look—so yes, a little extra puffiness at first is expected 💧

The lips are also super vascular (lots of blood vessels), which means they tend to swell more than other areas. Add in individual sensitivity + technique, and some patients may swell more than others 😮‍💨

⏰ Swelling typically peaks at 24–48 hours and improves within 3–7 days (with full settling up to 2 weeks).

💡 Want to minimize swelling?
• Ice gently (no pressure)
• Stay hydrated
• Avoid alcohol & salty foods
• Sleep with your head elevated
• Follow your aftercare instructions
✨ Reminder: swelling is not your final result—trust the process!

Feeling tired 24/7 isn’t always about being “busy” or not getting enough sleep 😴
For BOTH men and women, hormone imbalances can quietly drain your energy and affect everything from your mood to your metabolism.

⚠️ Signs your fatigue may be hormone-related:
• You wake up tired even after a full night’s sleep
• You rely on caffeine just to function
• Brain fog hits hard mid-day
• Your mood feels off (irritable, anxious, or low)
• Low libido or lack of motivation
• Unexplained weight changes
• Trouble falling or staying asleep

Hormones like cortisol, thyroid, estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone all play a role in your energy levels ⚖️

If something feels off, don’t ignore it—your body is trying to tell you something.

✨ Getting your levels checked could be the first step to feeling like YOU again.

Faja feeling a little too tight after surgery? That’s where faja extenders come in. 🙌

Faja extenders attach to the hook-and-eye closures of your compression garment to give you a little extra room while your body is swollen and healing. They help maintain the compression you need without putting too much pressure on your body during those early recovery stages.

✨ Why they’re helpful:
• Gives extra space while swelling is at its peak
• Helps prevent excessive pressure and discomfort
• Reduces risk of skin irritation or marks
• Lets you keep using the same faja as your body changes

As your swelling goes down, you can simply remove the extender and tighten your faja again. Recovery isn’t one-size-fits-all—adjust as your body heals. 💫

• Don’t Skip SPF: UV levels increase in spring—wear SPF 30+ daily, even on cloudy days.
• Gentle Exfoliation: Remove dry winter buildup with mild exfoliation 1–2 times per week.
• Hydrate Inside & Out: Warmer weather means more water intake and hydrating skincare.
