Today is my Dad's birthday.ββββββββ

As most of you know my dad passed away on April 4, 2021. Today he would have been 92. He was an amazing man and left in me such a legacy it would take years to explain all he taught me. However, I would like to share a snippet of how he influenced the doctor and person I am today. ββββββββ

My dad was the first person who really introduced me to chiropractic care, nutrition and supplementation. He took me to his chiropractor, Dr. Cohen, when I injured my knee in track. Dad helped me balance my teenage complexion with bioflavonoid supplementation. Heβd even give our dogs brewerβs yeast and garlic to fight ticks and fleas.ββββββββ

I remember him as a mountain of a man - strong, resilient and stubborn!! He was afterall an ironworker, (part of the Steel Crew that built the World Trade Centers). When heβd come home, he would trade in his hard hat and steel tipped boots for his T-shirt, shovel and time outside with our dogs and dirt. Heβd work the earth to prepare the soil for the garden that would help feed our family of 9. ββββββββ

He was an avid reader and would devour book after book on nutrition, vitamins and minerals. He understood that sometimes we needed more than what our food could provide. ββββββββ

So you see, he planted in me the thirst for knowledge, the joy of a dog(s), the satisfaction of seeing something grow and then nourish, and the commitment to health. I share a piece of me and therefore my dad with you, every time I care for you in the office, write these posts and, as I try, to display through my life.ββββββββ
