A huge congratulations to , our long-standing Florida dealer, for ensuring that new facility in Venice, FL, is fully equipped with throughout the building!

Clear communication is vital in healthcare – for both patients and staff. Our hearing loop systems provide ADA compliance and access to sound for hearing aid users.
This ensures private and accurate conversation is maintained while preserving patient dignity. Our systems not only enhance patient care but also benefit public venues by allowing everyone equal access to critical information.

Richard Pocker, President of Sertoma of Greater Sarasota Chapter and a Board Member of the Ear Research Foundation said: “The Sertoma of Greater Sarasota and the Hearing Loss Association of America Sarasota/Manatee Chapter spearheaded the installation of these new hearing loops throughout the new facility. It has become the only hospital in the state of Florida fully equipped with hearing loops.”

To begin the next school year on the right foot, my kids and I created a
9-Page Teacher Resource Guide.

Every year, we provide it to our teachers & school staff. It includes ways to better understand and support children who are deaf and hard of hearing, and has been such an integral part of their success.

My favorite part: There's a section to personalize it for each child.

I hope you find it helpful & have an amazing school year,

Valli

"To My Teacher"

9-page resource guide includes tangible steps and recommendations that can be implemented to ensure your child is supported. Although not a substitute for an IEP or 504 Plan, this is a great supplement to those formal plans.

The guide provides simple tips that will help the teachers and support staff—who work with your child—better understand hearing loss and hearing technology.

*Both Hearing Aid & Cochlear Implant versions included.

Today is the 34th Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). On July 26th we take a moment to celebrate and reflect on this important civil rights law that prohibits discrimination against individuals with disabilities in all areas of public life, including jobs, schools, transportation, and all public and private places that are open to the general public. The purpose of the law is to make sure that people with disabilities have the same rights and opportunities as everyone else. Visit: http://adaanniversary.org/

Effective Communication

The ADA requires that title II entities (State and local governments) and title III entities (businesses and nonprofit organizations that serve the public) communicate effectively with people who have communication disabilities. The goal is to ensure that communication with people with these disabilities is equally effective as communication with people without disabilities.
