Meet our Funeral Service Manager, Anaïs Pierre-Henry!
When the world suddenly feels like it has shifted on its axis, you probably don’t want someone reciting scripts or tiptoeing around the hard stuff. You want someone who can drop the formalities, look you in the eye like an old friend, and be completely honest with you so that you feel supported while you wade through the very real work grief and funeral decisions force you to face.
Anaïs is that kind of person.
She is a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer with more than 12 years of experience in funeral service, but what families tend to notice is the way she sets the tone in the room from the moment she walks in and says, “I’ve got you.” She jokes that she’s never met a stranger, and if you’ve met her, then you know it’s true.
Originally from Newnan, Georgia, she proudly embraces her Trinidadian and Grenadian heritage, which has shaped her deep respect for family, culture, and honoring loved ones. She’s crafted her work at Gentle Water Cremation around helping families understand that there are gentler ways to care for someone after death. She spends time explaining options, answering questions, and reminding people that memorials do not have to follow rigid traditions or invasive practices if such things don’t feel right for them.
At the heart of it all, Anaïs believes that even the hardest moments become easier when no one has to face them alone. She is most motivated by helping people navigate life’s most unpredictable moments and believes that with time and support, even the toughest situations can become manageable.
Outside of her professional life, Anaïs enjoys creative hobbies such as puzzles and artistic projects that come from her imagination. Wherever she goes, she brings the same energy she brings here—curiosity, creativity, and a deep reverence for connection.
We’re lucky to have her!
