Kids do NOT choose to exhibit challenging behavior. They are NOT trying to give you a hard time. Instead, they are having a hard time. Just like adults, they do poorly when life demands skills they are lacking.

When we recognize that children’s misbehavior is a result of lacking skills and unsolved problems, we see that issues can be proactively solved with our child. Instead of jumping to a punishment, we can solve challenging behavior and mend our relationship with our child.

We know that childrens' struggles are a reflection of their nervous system perceiving stress - even when WE don't see any stressors. So grab your free copy to calm your child's nervous system and keep meltdowns to a minimum.

Pro tip: Print the 9 cards, cut them out and laminate them. Then keep a few in your car and different spots in your home to have them handy when needed in a heated moment.

When school starts, the stress begins. Over the years at Rising Lotus, we've seen what we call the 'honeymoon period.' This is the first 3 or 4 weeks of school when things are going well. After that, we receive a ton of calls from concerned parents who don't know where else to turn.
