Certain contitions like POTS do need more sodium than most people. If you're sweating a lot every day you may need more salt as well.

Are you really willing to spend $1 sometimes over $2 for flavored salt when you can just get salt from the store for a FRACTION of the price?

Or get an electrolyte mix that has enough of the other minerals to make a difference in health. Most are getting enough or too much sodium.

Most of us also do not get enough potassium and magensium. even with this information, most products pack on the salt and not these other minerals!

The choice is yours we just provide perspective!

A lot of drinks add sugar and say it helps your body absorb electrolytes. But that’s not the full story. Sugar is only linked to one way your body absorbs sodium. And even then, your body can still absorb sodium without sugar using other pathways.

The other electrolytes, magnesium, potassium and calcium never use sugar to absorb. In fact, adding extra sugar can do more harm than good for daily use. Clean electrolytes with the right minerals can hydrate your body just fine, no sugar needed. Your body is smarter than that. Keep it simple. Hydrate better.

Food used to have more vitamins and minerals than it does today. Over the last 30 years, farming has changed a lot. Farmers often grow the same crops again and again. This can make the soil weaker. When soil loses nutrients, plants can lose nutrients too. Some food is also picked early so it can travel far and look fresh in stores. That can lower its quality. So even if food looks the same, it may not be as rich in nutrients as it once was!

ELECTROLYTES ARE BAD FOR YOU!! Not really...

Electrolytes aren't the problem. Actually almost everyone is lacking enough daily in at least one electrolyte, magnesium or potassium.

The real problem is most electrolytes are mostly salt, which is great for endurance exercise, but not great for daily use...

More magnesium and potassium doesn't stress the kidneys like sodium does because the majority of us aren’t getting enough of them! (unless you have a kidney problem, then tread carefully)

Careful with high sodium mixes, they are designed for intense exercise NOT daily consumption! (Unless you have a condition like pots, then maybe)

Most pregnant women need about 100 mg more magnesium than they are getting.

the average pregnant woman is also 600–800 mg low on potassium each day.

They’re trying to BAN… water. 💧😂

This “dihydrogen monoxide” scare is what happens when you use big words and no context. Same molecule, new name, instant panic.

Before you freak out about ingredients, remember:

Everything sounds scary in chemistry language

Dose and context matter way more than buzzwords.

Stay curious, read labels with a brain, not just fear.

Of course some ingredients are less than ideal for the diet and have no benefits to the body, or they refuse to tell you exactly what’s in it like "natural" or artificial flavors.

So if you read a label, and you don't know what it is, please look it up before demonizing the product.
