✨ Small Steps Still Count ✨

As an overthinker and recovering perfectionist, I sometimes find myself thinking- “Five minutes of daily meditation is not enough.”

But it is.

It’s so easy to think we have to go all in, 30 minutes of mindfulness every day, journaling every night, working out five times a week, or else it doesn’t count. But what I’ve learned (and still remind myself of quite often) is that small, realistic habits are what actually stick.

Even five minutes of intentional breathing, quiet reflection, or whatever it is that helps you ground yourself- can make a difference. 🙂 And once that becomes part of your rhythm, you can slowly build from there.

Even as a therapist, I fall out of my routines at times. Life gets busy, motivation dips, and I have to refocus and start again. That doesn’t mean I’ve failed, it just means I’m human.

Our mental health journey isn’t linear. There’s room for rest, readjustment, and starting over as many times as you need. 💛

So today, give yourself permission to start small, and to know that small still matters.
