Grief is how we come to terms with our new reality. It’s the process in which the old is mourned and released, and the new is accepted and assimilated into what’s new. Without proper grieving, you will be forever stuck in the in-between — struggling with the loss but never accepting the new life you live in.

No one needs to justify things that don't need defending.

There’s a simple but powerful concept in mental health: the sphere of control. It refers to the idea that while there are many things we can’t change, there are also many things we can control. When we shift our focus from worrying about the uncontrollable to taking charge of what’s within our power, we reduce stress, improve emotional well-being, and build resilience.

Boundaries may be difficult to set, but they ultimately lead to peace. Good boundaries can be a God-send in our lives and a blessing to those around us. ❤️

Save this post as a reminder when you need it 💚

Every minute you spend trying to control someone else—their opinions, their moods, their actions—is a minute of your energy wasted.

The truth? The only thing you can control is you. And the moment you stop managing everyone else, you’ll realize just how much power you’ve had all along.

This lesson changed my life, and it’s straight from Chapter 1, Page 17 of The Let Them Theory.

The time for hiding under the covers and pretending something will go away if you ignore it should be saved for your childhood imagination. Now that you are older, it’s time to face the reality in front of you and put boundaries in place to protect yourself from red-flag behaviors. Ignoring them doesn’t make them go away — it only reinforces what they are doing. Your silence gives them permission to continue.

You are not the problem. The real problem? The power you unknowingly hand over to other people.

When you stop seeking validation, approval, or permission from others, you take back control of your life.

This quote is from Chapter 1, Page 17 of The Let Them Theory, which will help you reclaim your power, set yourself free, and start living for yourself. 💚

Counseling Exclusively for Women

Are you feeling down and have little interest or pleasure in doing things you normally do? Do you feel tired or have little energy or so restless that it is hard to sit still and relax? Are you easily annoyed or irritable? If you answer yes to any or all of these questions, then you may be experiencing some depression and anxiety. But I have good news for you! Depression and Anxiety is treatable through talk therapy sessions and can often resolve in the short-term. Therapy does not have to be a long-term process and often you can achieve the goals you set for yourself within a matter of months.

I work exclusively with Women. Why? Women understand Women. We have different priorities, different needs. Because I have experienced these same issues, I can empathize with you and want to support you and help you reach your goals. I invite you to reach out and call me. I offer a free telephone consultation and can discuss the therapy process with you.

So how can I help you? I believe that therapy needs to be individualized. What works for one person may not work for you. When we meet for the first time, we will discuss what is important to you and together we will come up with a plan that helps you identify what goals you want to achieve. During your sessions, I will listen and support you.
