Dear Patients and Families of Westwood-Mansfield Pediatrics,

It is with profound sadness that we must relay that Dr. Lester Hartman died last night following a lengthy illness.

From his early days in the old gray house with Dr. Franklin to his later years leading a large, multi-office practice, Dr. Hartman was not only a caring pediatrician for generations of children and their families, but also a mentor for countless students and pediatricians.

Dr. Hartman was the heart, soul and vision of Westwood-Mansfield Pediatrics. His generosity of spirit, passion for his convictions, and his humility will be greatly missed.

If you have memories of Dr. Hartman or a message you would like to convey, please send it to our office and we will make sure it gets to his family.

Donations can be made on his behalf to Partners in Health.

Do you have any leftover, unopened non-perishables from Thanksgiving prep? Drop them off at our food drive! Kathryn did! Donations are being collected in all three of our office and will be distributed to local food pantries. Thank you to all who have donated thus far.

We dropped off more donations at the Westwood Food Pantry today. Thank you again for everyone’s contributions!

We dropped over 220 pieces of non perishable items to the Mansfield Food Pantry today and have more coming to other local Food pantries. If you find yourself with extra unopened food items, please drop them off at one of our offices locations next week and we will make sure they get to our local food pantries.

This week’s spotlight is someone we like to call “The Mayor” of Mansfield — because she’s as local as it gets! Born and raised right here in Mansfield, she still calls it home today. 🏡

She has been part of the WMPEDS family for 17 years, and her favorite part of the job is watching our patients grow. From caring for little ones to now seeing former patients walk in with children of their own — it’s those long-term connections with families that make every day at WMPEDS so meaningful. ✨
