Full Moon in Aquarius August 11, 2022 – Clash of Titanic Ideas and Ideals, Like-it-or-not Updates
This full moon energy is a tectonic shift that has been started a long time ago and will continue for a long time to come, because it has to do with updating group values. It’s in 19 degrees of Aquarius is conjunct Saturn at 21 degrees of Aquarius and square the famous-by-now North Node conjunction with Uranus and recently Mars, in 18 degrees of Ta**us (Ta**us and Venus rule what we value). These are the standouts in the full moon energy: What we think of as Divine Masculine energy as well as what we think of as Aquarian Age Values are actually being updated. So the so-called “New Age” definitions of both of those concepts (“Divine Masculine” and “Aquarian Age”), although “New,” still need a shot in the arm every so often, and this is that shot. It’s a double espresso, with those yummy chocolate covered espresso beans as a side snack. Yes, there’s a lot of zippy, fast, exciting, Cosmic Caffeine being shot into our collective soul’s bloodstream with this once every 2000 years conjunction forcing us to update, rethink, and realize that we have the power (!) to make our world and our society (Aquarius full moon) into whatever we want. But the nice thing about these huge amounts of Cosmic Caffeine is, you have it in fixed signs, and Saturn is there to oversee everything, and the energy of Ta**us is NOT ABOUT to get up and start racing around like a chicken with its head cut off. Nah! So…think of it like this: picture a large family of say, 8 people, moving out of a house packed to the gills full of stuff. They need to be out by the end of the month. It’s not a rush, but there has to be progress every day. There’s a great plan in place and not too much panicking. People who can act like Adulting Adults are overseeing the whole process. Everyone wants to live in the new place and no one wants to stay. Yes, it’s bittersweet to leave, but we’ve outgrown it. And yes, like any astrological event, this configuration will be affecting you specifically depending on what’s in your chart. Want to hear something funny? My moon is in 25 Aquarius which is indeed close enough to this mess (ha ha) to be going through a really big emotional maturing process (don’t worry, I will still act like a fool sometimes, never letting THAT go!) as my moon sits around on the couch with Saturn for over a year or so. But in the meantime, ask yourself these two questions: How can I let go of what I thought was masculine energy (Always strong? Violent/militaristic (Mars)? Always the authority (Mars square Saturn)? Overly sexual (Mars conjunct Uranus)? Emotionally distant? (Saturn conjunct Moon) and update my idea of what masculinity is to realize that this is all getting spiritualized (North Node, Uranus) and upgraded to reflect oh, I don’t know, insightfulness, true respectful leadership, strength that contains vulnerability when appropriate, possibly less externally titled and more visionary, and possibly (OH HOLY DAY!) willing to stand up and assert it’s own emotional needs (Full Moon conjunct “Saturn the Boundary Setter,” the North Node conjunctions in very personal, very sensitive, Venus-ruled Ta**us). Second question: Where am I willing to withstand the negating of something I want and think is FAIR and FREE right now (Saturn thwarting the moon in Aquarius) for something longer term and more permanent, that is negotiated by a higher set of values than just the material earth plane (a million volts of Ta**us squaring)? Saturn’s comforting side is security, and after all, the moon’s entire purpose for living is to feel secure.
