I am so excited to announce my next book! It is a lot different than my last one, but I am so happy with the different ways I got to work with its central theme.
Over the last year I have thought a lot about the person I want to be. And more importantly, I have thought a lot about the person I am ok with not being in the pursuit of the person I want to be. And I have decided that being a writer is worth many of those trade offs -- even if I never "make it big and make millions." Writing is something I have always loved and in the era of early motherhood while all I seem to do is wipe butts and clean house this writing outlet has been so important to my identity and soul.
This year has been crazy. my babies are almost two and three-and-a-half (we are in the thick of it!). My husband has been away about half the year and will be away even more soon, which is so hard on us all. I have started homeschooling. I run this sourdough business. I am still healing and strengthening my body through intentional diet and weight training after having my babies. We have traveled lots and lived lots and loved lots and it doesn't ever seem to stop. And still, I was able to write. Because it is important to me. And that is something to be proud of.
