This post puts the Coronavirus in layman terms and helped me to understand better. Maybe it will help you too! So Stay Home if you don’t have to go out!!

This is from an immunologist at Johns Hopkins University:

Feeling confused as to why Coronavirus is a bigger deal than Seasonal flu? Here it is in a nutshell. I hope this helps. Feel free to share this to others who don’t understand...

It has to do with RNA sequencing.... I.e. genetics.

Seasonal flu is an “all human virus”. The DNA/RNA chains that make up the virus are recognized by the human immune system. This means that your body has some immunity to it before it comes around each year... you get immunity two ways...through exposure to a virus, or by getting a flu shot.

Novel viruses, come from animals.... the WHO tracks novel viruses in animals, (sometimes for years watching for mutations). Usually these viruses only transfer from animal to animal (pigs in the case of H1N1) (birds in the case of the Spanish flu). But once, one of these animal viruses mutates, and starts to transfer from animals to humans... then it’s a problem, Why? Because we have no natural or acquired immunity.. the RNA sequencing of the genes inside the virus isn’t human, and the human immune system doesn’t recognize it so, we can’t fight it off.

Now.... sometimes, the mutation only allows transfer from animal to human, for years it’s only transmission is from an infected animal to a human before it finally mutates so that it can now transfer human to human... once that happens..we have a new contagion phase. And depending on the fashion of this new mutation, thats what decides how contagious, or how deadly it’s gonna be..

H1N1 was deadly....but it did not mutate in a way that was as deadly as the Spanish flu. It’s RNA was slower to mutate and it attacked its host differently, too.

Fast forward.

Now, here comes this Coronavirus... it existed in animals only, for nobody knows how long...but one day, at an animal market, in Wuhan China, in December 2019, it mutated and made the jump from animal to people. At first, only animals could give it to a person... But here is the scary part.... in just TWO WEEKS it mutated again and gained the ability to jump from human to human. Scientists call this quick ability, “slippery”

This Coronavirus, not being in any form a “human” virus (whereas we would all have some natural or acquired immunity). Took off like a rocket. And this was because, Humans have no known immunity...doctors have no known medicines for it.

And it just so happens that this particular mutated animal virus, changed itself in such a way the way that it causes great damage to human lungs..

That’s why Coronavirus is different from seasonal flu, or H1N1 or any other type of influenza.... this one is slippery! And it’s a lung eater...And, it’s already mutated AGAIN, so that we now have two strains to deal with, strain s, and strain L....which makes it twice as hard to develop a vaccine.

We really have no tools in our shed, with this. History has shown that fast and immediate closings of public places has helped in the past pandemics. Philadelphia and Baltimore were reluctant to close events in 1918 and they were the hardest hit in the US during the Spanish Flu.

Factoid: Henry VIII stayed in his room and allowed no one near him, till the Black Plague passed...(honestly...I understand him so much better now). Just like us, he had no tools in his shed, except social isolation...

And let me end by saying....right now it’s hitting older folks harder... but this genome is so slippery...if it mutates again (and it will). Who is to say, what it will do next.

Be smart folks... acting like you’re unafraid is so not sexy right now.

. Stay home folks... and share this to those that just are not catching on. 🤓

A Friend Just Posted this recently:

Go ahead and google these words: "WHO recommending not using ibuprofen"

Halle- F'n - lujah

Thank goodness finally the medical peeps are catching on to what homeopaths have always known.

I don't agree with all that is published online about this and that is why I did not choose just one article to post here, but I do know one thing, when it comes to your health, suppression is never the answer. IF your nose is running, let it run. I always say: "better out than in". (Use a kleenex or something but let it go out of your body!)

if you have inflammation, then make sure you take care of the underlying cause and don't just take a pill to not feel the pain and discomfort.

It seems that France has been making some recommendations based on their experience of dealing with the current epidemic and, now the WHO is listening.

This is not the time to argue about right or wrong.

In my years, I've been called a stubborn person. I know some of you are shocked. Not.

There was a time when I reached for the pills first. People who know me have told me that I'm a stubborn person. You see we think we know what we know and that's it. Have you ever known something to be so right but then discovered more info and changed your mind? This is the time to develop some humility and learn from each other. NOT ANY SINGLE ONE OF US HAS ALL THE ANSWERS. yup. We must listen to each other and work together. Most of all we must learn to listen to our body's own wisdom.

Did you know that the body's #1 goal is survival?

I'll say it again: Did you know that your body's #1 goal is survival? Every sniffle, every pain, ache, and fever is your body trying to communicate to you to pay attention.

Symptoms are the body's own healing response. They are not the disease.

Yes you can choose to remain busy and ignore it (like I used to). And, it will get louder and louder.

Please don't just believe me on this. Do your own experiment.
Pay attention and make up your own mind.

If you are looking for some natural anti-inflammatory foods, here are three of my favorites. Ginger root (pictured), Turmeric, and Garlic. You can also google the rest and ask your nutritionist for advice (I'm not one).

Eat like you love yourself. Feed your family like you love them.

You may agree or disagree with me but what I really want to know is what are you going to cook tonight?

The Great Flu Pandemic of 1918-19. It’s estimated that more than 50 million people died during that epidemic – the vast majority from flu complicated with pneumonia.

Fifty million…and once a person became infected – death often came swiftly... (see this brief PBS video to see more: PBS video on flu pandemic)

Yet, patients in the care of homeopaths during this epidemic fared dramatically better than those treated by ordinary physicians.

Mortality rates for flu patients working with a homeopath averaged 0.70%. For those patients suffering with flu complicated by pneumonia – the death rate averaged 3.4% or less.
The mortality rate for patients with the flu in the care of ordinary medical doctors averaged 6%, and for those with flu complicated by pneumonia – between 25% and 30%.
During that crisis, the chance of surviving the flu complicated with pneumonia – the condition that killed 50 million people - was 148 (surviving) to 1 (death) for patients working with a homeopath.

The odds of surviving if one worked with an ordinary medical doctor?
Just 16-1.
