This week on Team Thursday’s we meet Dr Claire Warden🌷

Claire Warden is a colorectal surgeon who trained at the University of Cape Town/Groote Schuur Hospital. She has spent time developing her skills at various surgical units in the United Kingdom. Her current interests include: pelvic floor pathology, proctology, improving public healthcare, enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS), student teaching and travel. Project Flamingo has been a tangible way to improve the lives of the colorectal patients at Groote Schuur Hospital. Offering colorectal operations on "Saturday Project Flamingo Lists” at Groote Schuur has helped alleviate the surgical waiting times for our patients.
