Patterns of Back Pain(Lumbar Spine)

Problems of the lumbar spine are very difficult to diagnose and most of the examination commonly resolves around differentiating symptoms of herniated disc.
Here is a simple approach to back pain diagnosis and management. In this we will discuss part 1A involving back pain dominant / mechanical cause and Part 1B involving leg pain dominant/ mechanical cause.

Knowledge of cerebral vascular anatomy(circle of Willis) is essential to understand the symptoms, diagnosis, and management of stroke.
Common arteries in the circle of Willis and their clinical manifestations when involved in CVA.

# Contralateral hemiparesis involving mainly the lower extremity the upper extrimity is more spared
# Contralateral hemisensory loss involving mainly the uppe LE the UE is more spared
# Urinary incontinence
# Problems with imitations and Bimanual tasks,apraxia
