Here are some precautions that a person with sensitive skin can take during the summer:

- Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of water and fluids to keep the skin hydrated and prevent dryness.
- Avoid direct exposure to sunlight, especially during peak hours between 10 AM and 4 PM. Wear a hat, sunglasses, and protective clothing to prevent sunburn.
- Use sunscreen with a high SPF and broad-spectrum protection to shield the skin from harmful UV rays. Reapply every 2 hours or after swimming or sweating.
- Use mild, fragrance-free, and hypoallergenic skincare products that are specially formulated for sensitive skin. Avoid products with harsh chemicals, dyes, or fragrances.
- Take lukewarm showers instead of hot showers to avoid stripping the skin of its natural oils and moisture.
- Use a gentle cleanser and moisturizer to keep the skin clean and hydrated. Apply moisturizer immediately after showering to lock in moisture.
- Avoid rubbing or scratching the skin, which can cause irritation and inflammation. Use a soft towel to pat dry the skin instead of rubbing it.

By following these precautions, a person with sensitive skin can protect their skin from the harsh summer weather and maintain healthy, glowing skin.

While the exact cause of psoriasis is unknown, several triggers can cause or worsen the condition, here are some of the most common triggers:
- Stress
- Infection
- Certain Medication
- Weather Changes
- Injury to the Skin
- Hormonal Changes

Nadi Chikitsa (Pulse Diagnosis) is an important diagnostic tool used in Ayurveda to evaluate the state of a person's health. This ancient method involves assessing the three doshas or energy forces (Vata, Pitta, and Kapha) in the body by analyzing the quality, rhythm, and strength of the pulse at various points on the wrist.

By analyzing the pulse, an Ayurvedic practitioner can identify imbalances in the doshas and determine the root cause of a person's health issues. This information is then used to develop a personalized treatment plan that includes dietary changes, herbal remedies, and lifestyle modifications to restore balance and promote optimal health.

Pulse diagnosis is a non-invasive, safe, and effective way to evaluate a person's health and identify potential health issues before they become more serious. By identifying imbalances in the doshas at an early stage, Ayurvedic practitioners can help prevent chronic health conditions and promote overall well-being.

Being sick, even when you’re home in bed and off work, isn’t fun. The combination of body aches, fever, chills, and nasal congestion can be enough to make anyone miserable.

There are plenty of home remedies that can alleviate your symptoms and get you back to normal. Here are 10 for the :

Chicken soup: Enjoying a bowl of chicken soup with vegetables, prepared from scratch or warmed from a can, may slow the movement of neutrophils in your body.

Ginger: A few slices of raw ginger root in boiling water may help soothe a cough or sore throat.

Honey: Drinking honey in tea with lemon can ease sore throat pain. Research suggests that honey is an effective cough suppressant, too.

Garlic: Adding a garlic supplement to your diet might reduce the severity of cold symptoms.

Echinacea: Its active ingredients include flavonoids, chemicals that have many therapeutic effects on the body. For example, flavonoids can boost your immune system and reduce inflammation.

Vitamin C: Adding fresh lemon juice to hot tea with honey may reduce phlegm when you’re sick. Drinking hot or cold lemonade may also help.

Probiotics: Probiotics are “friendly” bacteria and yeast that are found in your body, some foods, and supplements. They can help keep your gut and immune system healthy, and probiotics may reduce your chance of getting sick with an upper respiratory infection.

Salt Water: Gargling with salt water may help prevent upper respiratory infections. It may also decrease the severity of cold symptoms.

V***r Rub: You might not like the smell, but some old-fashioned topical ointments, such as v***r rub, appear to reduce nighttime tough trusted Source in children older than 2 years.

Warm Baths: Sometimes you can reduce a child’s fever by giving them a warm sponge bath. Warm baths can also reduce cold and flu symptoms in adults.

If you still feel sick after a few weeks, make an appointment with your doctor. And if you have trouble breathing, have a rapid heartbeat, feel faint, or experience other severe symptoms, get medical help sooner.

5 Ways to Boost Your Immunity This Winter...

1. Do Physical Activity
Exercising regularly allows you to regulate your blood pressure, and reduce your stress. This makes it easier for your circulatory system to respond quickly when an infectious disease enters the body.

2. Have a Healthy Diet
Having a healthy diet is essential to boosting your immune system. The nutrients we need are in more than protein-heavy and low-carb meals. We also need healthy fats, fruits (especially citrus fruits), vegetables, whole grains, and healthy carbs.

3. Get Lots of Sleep
Another way to boost your immune system is to get plenty of quality sleep. This gives your immune system time to recuperate and regenerate while your body is not awake.

4. Drink Lots of Water
Water plays so many important roles in our bodies, especially when it comes to immune function. Hydration allows your body to properly circulate the infection-fighting immune cells.

5. Keep Stress Levels Low
Possibly the hardest thing to do is to reduce the amount of stress you are under. When your body is under continual amounts of stress, it goes into survival mode. This stress response suppresses your immune system, which makes it much harder to fight infection.

This winter, it is important to prioritize boosting your immune system. The best ways to boost your immune system are to stay hydrated, get good sleep, eat healthily, reduce your stress, and stay active.

Here is a list of 7 natural moisturisers to use during the winter season. Some are already available in your home.

1. Olive Oil: All you need to do is apply some on your face and skin and keep it overnight. The antioxidants present in olive oil help soothe the skin and repair damaged cells due to excessive dryness.

2. Honey: Honey makes for a great moisturizer that can be applied to dry skin. Massage it directly onto your skin and wait for about 10 minutes before washing it off with lukewarm water.

3. Coconut Oil: Every night, just apply some coconut oil on your face, skin, elbows, knees and hands and leave it overnight. You will find all your skin soft and glowing in the morning. Make sure you follow this routine every day.

4. Aloe Vera: Apply aloe vera gel on your face and let it dry for a few minutes and then wash it off with normal water. It moisturizes your skin without giving it a greasy feel.

5. Yogurt: The itchiness and dryness on your skin can easily be curbed by yogurt.

6. Almond Oil: Apply some on your body and face before taking a shower. This will definitely leave your skin soft and supple.

7. Papaya: Squeeze some pulp out of a slice of papaya and add some honey to it and mix them properly to make a paste out of it. Keep it for about 10 minutes and wash it away to get moisturized and beautiful skin.

You can have dry, frizzy, smooth or silky hair - all these are signs of your inside health.

Each strand is made up of cells that contain a tough protein called keratin and they need to be constantly nourished with minerals and vitamins to make your hair long and strong.

We have enlisted some foods for hair growth, which you must definitely add to your daily diet. So, here are 7 Foods for healthy hair growth:

1. Eggs: Your hair is made up of protein, therefore it is important to ensure that you have enough protein in your diet. Protein is the building block of hair and eggs are one of the richest natural sources of protein.

2. Spinach and Dark Leafy Greens
Iron is an essential mineral that your hair cells require. In fact, a deficiency of iron in the body may cause hair loss. When your body is running low on iron, oxygen and nutrients are not getting transported to the hair roots and follicles adequately which can inhibit growth and make your strands weak.

3. Citrus Fruits
Your body requires Vitamin C for iron absorption therefore; you need to add citrus fruits to your diet. Nutritionists recommend that one lime per day is enough to get your daily dose of Vitamin C.

4. Nuts and Seeds
Omega-3 fatty acids nourish the hair and support thickening. Since your body cannot produce these healthy fats, you need to derive them from your diet. Almonds and walnuts are really high in Omega-3 fatty acids.

5. Whole Grains
Whole grains are rich in biotin along with iron, zinc and B vitamins. Biotin is required for cell proliferation and plays an important part in producing amino acids (protein) which are required for your hair to grow.

6. Carrots
Drink carrot juice every day for quick hair growth. The hair contains the fastest-growing tissues in the body and vitamin A is required for the growth of every cell. It also helps the scalp in producing natural sebum oil which keeps it and the roots healthy to boost hair growth.

7. Avocado
Avocado is a great source of Vitamin E and it is also rich in heart-healthy monounsaturated fats. You can add it to your breakfast salad or blend it into a green smoothie.

Scientists continue to explore what causes , but we do know that these factors play an important role in the development of asthma:

Family history: If you have a parent with asthma, you are three to six times more likely to develop asthma than someone who does not have a parent with asthma.

Allergies: Some people are more likely to develop allergies than others, especially if one of their parents has allergies. Certain allergic conditions, such as atopic dermatitis (eczema) or allergic rhinitis (hay fever), are linked to people who get asthma.

Viral respiratory infections: Respiratory problems during infancy and childhood can cause wheezing. Some children who experience viral respiratory infections go on to develop chronic asthma.

Occupational exposures: If you have asthma, exposure to certain elements in the workplace can cause asthma symptoms. And, for some people, exposure to certain dust (industrial or wood dusts), chemical fumes and v***rs, and moulds can cause asthma to develop for the very first time.

Smoking: Cigarette smoke irritates the airways. Smokers have a high risk of asthma. Those who were exposed to secondhand smoke are also more likely to have asthma. Learn more about the health effects of smoking with asthma

Air Pollution: Exposure to the main component of smog (ozone) raises the risk of asthma. Those who grew up or live in urban areas have a higher risk for asthma.

Obesity: Children and adults who are overweight or obese are at a greater risk of asthma. Obese patients often use more medications, suffer worse symptoms and are less able to control their asthma than patients in a healthy weight range.

While these factors increase a person's risk of developing the disease. Learn more about ways to improve asthma by understanding the risks related to exposure to things in the environment that are known to make asthma worse and management steps.
